Review and the present “All The President’s Men”; first, discuss for clarification. Opening sentence review:

The Washington Post was under pressure from the government, but Bob Woodward, played by Robert Redford, and  Carl Bernstien, played by Dustin Hoffman, used multiple sources to confirm their story. Integrity was key.

Class completes reviews.

Re-visit Frontline to see actual footage of Bob Woodward discussing standards and  practices. Item six.

Read the Isaacson story in TIME magazine. Discuss  marked points on handout. Focus on the Henry Luce quote, while considering what you’ve learned about corporate obligations. Why did  Luce see a danger in advertising? What would the world be like without newspapers?
